I am finally getting cycling gloves to gain a bit more comfort, better grip and also for protection in case of a fall.
Any suggestions? I was looking on wiggle but they have too many options to choose from!
I am looking to get them under £30

EDIT: Forgot to say that its for commuting on roads.

I can recommend Specialized BG Gel gloves or mitts, although I have not tried any other gloves.

a bit likes shoes - you have to try them. I have gloves from Mavic, Specialized, Trek, Endura, Assos and Altura - none bought online, all tried on in the shop.

You could try your nearest Aldi or Lidl to see if they have any left. My local stores usually have them left over for months after their bike sales. They have gel inserts and would protect you from gravel rash. Very good vfm at about £4 imho.

Lidl gloves are the shittest of the shoot (I have bought them in the past), it's a false economy. Spend your money on a proper pair, esp you will be wearing them often!

I've got Aldi long and short fingered gloves and they have been fine and lasted ages

Here for rides.
Tesco's sell cheap ones.

On the other hand, ba-dish, Spesh BG gel gloves/mitts are the past present and future for my hands

Altura Classics for me. I've tried loads of different ones, but keep coming back to the Alturas. It's a personal thing though and you have to try before you buy.

Mine are pearl izumi. I bought them because they were the only ones with fingers that I could find, and I love them. They are cool in the warm and warm in the cool. Cost £20.

I've got a pair of the Spesh BG Gel mitts and they're good. If pricey. Under £30 they're some of the best you can get: http://www.evanscycles.com/products/specialized/bg-gel-mitt-ec032761

I've also got some Nalini race ones which are definately not for everyday use. Very pricey.

Also I've got a pair of full-fingered ventilated Sealskinz summer gloves which work well but are about £24 http://www.sealskinz.com/cycling/road/ventilated-cycle-glove

Last year I used these from Tenn via eBay for the whole summer and are still in good condition - £8 and good value http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Cycling-G...10?pt=UK_Cycling_Clothing&hash=item2317d73d1a

That's the summer gloves. Don't get me started on the spring/autumn or winter ones.

I wonder if I've got a glove fetish
