I use my gel ice packs for years, about a fiver if that from Amazon. Got the first from physio when I first injured my left knee in 2009. Wrap in a thin tea towel, job done.
I’ve got a cryocuff too but found much better for my wrecked ankle than knee

My knee pain has subsided quite a bit of late . Try not to kneel and careful what I do at work .
However on a similar matter been chatting to an ex neighbour of mine . He’s just had a knee replacement, a few years younger than me too . 4 months to wait for the OP . He went private through work . 2yrs if NHS he was told and consultant apologised for the delay :ohmy:

I would agree with one of the other comments. Get a referral to see a Physiotherapist. Sometimes knee pain can be a result of tight muscles, or unequal muscle tone in different groups. Physio's can often determine muscle pathology, and come up with exercises that correct anomalies.

As long as I breathe, I attack.
Bit niggly the last few days , i put it down to the damp weather so i have pulled out of todays club ride
