Hello
Just joined, in the hope of getting some info on the CB I have just acquired.
The bike has been added to over the years, but I hope the pictures will be helpful!

Looks like a Majestic, late 70’s early 80’s I rebuilt one a couple of years ago. Have you got the frame number?

I have a CB Majestic and my model does NOT have wrap-round stays, if that is any help.
There’s a small hole in the frame just above the Claud Butler badge, does that imply that there used to be a ‘proper’ metal badge there originally ?

Ooops, sorry - thanks Gunk! (I’m a bit new at all this)

I see your location is Oxford - mine too. Happy to show you the bike some time for an expert opinion, if you’re interested!

Touch it up and ride it
Looks like the Reynolds sticker says respray so could be anything.

Only original once

Lack of cage mounts make me think 70's at latest but only a guess

The frame number should be stamped on the underside of the bottom bracket.
If not, then look on the seat stays or the chain stays.

Had a search there for the frame number yesterday - unsuccessfully. Did find “Made in France” stamped on a rubber / plastic pad across which the cables run, though…
