Nope but read that Bluetooth on might sometimes slow uploads

There was some type of upload error. I think it's because I turned the computer off halfway through it uploading the ride. I found the ride on the wahoo app through the results page. There it said it was a strava upload error, and gives you the option of manual uploading it. Quite straight forward once you know what you're looking for.

It's the same as the garmin in that regard Berty. But it's more user friendly / idiot proof in my opinion which is good for me! You set everything up via a phone app. The app is really straight forward to use and makes it much easier than pushing the buttons on the computer hundreds of times. It means you don't have to toggle through loads of screens on the computer too which makes it feel a lot more simple. Little problems like the one I hadn't yesterday are much easier to rectify.

I've also just discovered you can use the led's that run across the top of the unit to show you which heart rate or power zone you're in. Which could be very handy for training rides.

It's early doors for me. But I'd definitely recommend it.

Anyone have strava premium? When I use the garmin with live segments it doesn't show the segments when on a particular route, it shows the same few every time but not every one is this down to me not making them favourites or is it a quirk of my garmin it's the 820 or 810 can't remember.

The other annoying thing is it sometimes doesn't change my PB on the garmin when I've got a pb, chased a segment once and knocked off a minute it says I got a PB then when I tryed for it again it had the old time.

Is it any better on the element does it show every segment on the route you do?

Hope it makes sense not very good at describing things :shy:

Tommy you're ahead of the game with the the Wahoo, I just switch it on and ride, with the odd route loaded for when I eventually get dropped, then lost. ^_^

You sure they are strava segments and not Garmin connect ones - much the same but don't show up on each other

Breedon if it's the computer you had in Wales it isn't the 820. Don't know if this is relevant though. I think it's the most popular segments that show up automatically, others have to be starred by you. This is good as it means that in popular areas you're not getting a segment flash up every 20 seconds. On the bolt it flashes up lots more sections than the garmin. But it literally just flashes them up. On the garmin it takes you to another screen which means you have to toggle back to the screen you were using beforehand. But annoying.

With regards to you're own pb's not showing up you may have to connect your garmin into the laptop via USB to update your records. I had I guy I'd actually ditched off my friends list as the time to beat on a certain section. After plugging into the laptop it sorted itself.

Having said all that does live segments work without strava premium?

Cheers all I'll hook up to the pc to see if it up dates the segments.
I do have segments as favourites but these don't show up, so annoying.

I was toast after Breedon pulled me up to some other riders (thanks!) and lost minutes on those three hills at the end. I'm in the live results and should show up on the main results shortly.

I did try to give Breedon a little pull up to the one that got away before falling off the pace...

Jeff
ps. It's easy to forget how much climbing Richmond has. Mentally I always think of it has pancake flat...

I'd forgotten how steep and long the hills were, lost the front group and rode with one fella until he crushed me on the last 3 bumps. If I'd gone full bore over the first lap, I might of just been able to hold onto the leaders, but it was a shock to the system, good race, pleased with the result overall.

I had forgotten how good and fun zwift races are.

A large lead group quickly got formed which Andy and Jeff was in and was making ground quickly, I decided to not waste energy trying to chase the faster group so i stayed with a group of a round 6.
We all worked well and making ground on a few stragglers from the first group we came to the first hill and it broke down slightly but managed to re-form, still putting out decent watts and came to the second hill and quickly realised I was the strongest rider (obviously).

I pushed on and could see Jeff and gaining on him we joined up and helped each other, although I could tell he was struggling so eased off every now and then, we came to the first big hill the red mist came down and forgot about Jeff for a second or to but he was about 11 seconds down so I pushed on hard sorry Jeff.
Making good ground and catching up with a few riders the very last hill near the finish is where I had to push hard and dig deep as I had 2 riders that I attacked on that hill trying to get me but was able to keep them at bay with 6 seconds to spare.

Great racing and great riding with you Jeff
