Feck! Bailed. Legs okish but so fast couldn't breathe! C group at almost 50kmh ?!? We were catching the slowest riders on the B group.
Well, wake up call. I may have ok climbing legs but speed on the flat requires some proper training!

Gear problems so vv high Cadence at times - didn't make a difference though. Was already having trouble breathing. Loved being on front

You have to watch us fatties, we have a bit of flat speed
But it was such fun!
I looked at Jeff's times and actually he is pretty fast and quicker than many of us on Watopia. Be interesting to see if he got some pb's tonight.

I am working out of London Thursday and then rushing back for the sports massage I should have had tonight so Thursday is difficult for me.
I kept looking for you when we started. I was pretty sure you weren't behind me... Then I saw a lone green jersey out in front and clearly off my list of riders.. COuldn't be... Well, yes, it was... You seemed to be going from one extreme end of the pack to the other...
I could feel Jeff and Martin breathing down my neck!
And it was a big pack... A small group went off the front near the end of hte 2nd lap and I tried to go with them. The larger pack caught us reasonably quickly and spit me out hte back. A bit of a slog for the last few miles. 15th out of 26 qualified riders on a flat course. Not too good today...
I'm often in the Thu race as well.
That's pretty typical for the Tue/Thu KISS EUR in my experience. If you're looking for a smaller group, the Monday race is generally smaller and weaker competition -- you'll find me there regularly as well.
