Bob 74kg is pretty light. Add 20+kg and have go at towing the extra around

We had last weekend a young man who is a true lightweight @ 55kg. He was blisteringly quick on anything with a slope. In fact he did a solo 2 hour sweet spot training ride the other day and average of nearly 22mph-gulp. Club runs are basically a stroll for him

God dam that caad12 is sexy!

I caught myself looking at the non disc, matt black (suprise surprise) frameset the other day in the sales. Such a good looking frame. Missus wants a holiday home before I get another bike so I'm going to have to play the long game on that one... all those bikes look good to be fair. I think canton customer service has improved massively too by all accounts. Nice problem to have! I assume your going to take the ultegra off your defy?

I can't imagine 55kg!

I'd be over the moon if I ever get down to 80kg

Blimey-my nearly 12 year old is not much lighter!

Sure, but some of that will be the muscle that powers you along the flats:okay:

It sure is. In purple or green.

I should but part of me is thinking about a bodge, err sorry, proper repair of sorts to allow me to use the defy on the NEO. Bonkers of course. If i do swap out the Ultrega i will have to get a new 25.4mm seat post and probably new stem and bars-i am sure the Giant are a proprietary sise. Also a little concerned about bb30. Or i could sell off the ultrega and use as a deposit on a new caad 12 bike-or a giant. I am thinking aloud here...

I recall you mentioning the holiday home. Pyrennes i hope, or perhaps provence? Lots of room for us CC guys to come and stay ^_^

Di2, Alloy and with the DT Swiss 32 wheels (which will carry my lardy arse of upto 130kg rider and bike). I currently don't trust carbon bike because of my weight.

Was window shopping power meters on dc rainmaker and came across the power pod which you place in front of the bike and uses the wind generated by moving forward very accurate from the graphs on the site and just under £300

Either that or a stages crank arm, can't use the pedal type as I like the double sided pedals

Dean, I have spent a lot of time researching the power pod and nearly got one. A lame reason i know but i just didnt want another thing hanging off my handlebar. Properly set up though they look more than good enough for most users. Pro bike and sigma often have it discounted to £220

I think the bb30 issues are blown out of proportion to a fair degree. And prob even less of an issue on aluminium frames. From personal experience I've never had a problem but maybe just lucky.

The holiday home is a bit of a dream at the moment to be honest, and may involve selling a kidney or two to finance. I don't have a problem with that in principle, so long as it's not my kidney!

That's why I'm quite drawn to the power pod the price, with you lot getting a gadget for your bikes I feel left out ^_^ but have been thinking about a power meter for quite a while and this fits the bill
