Yes i still have it, it’s a 2018 model with rim brakes and Ultegra R8050 Di2 groupset. Geometry of this frame was totally different what i use to so i need to change seatpost where is no setback at all and it fits much better for me now.

Like your friend, my next bike is gonna be less aero, lookin for more comfy bike in a future.
This is why I ended up with the Roubaix - I looked at areo and light, but as i get older comfort seemed more important :okay:

Good selection Carl. I had a DeRosa King Xlight about nearly 14-years. It was a fantastic bike but then i did my decision to update my bike so i sold it and bought Cervelo. If it's possible i think i return back to DeRosa when my bank account shows big plus mark. Don't know is it geometry or what but i rode DeRosa faster than i do with Cervelo. Frame size is basically same but geometry is different probably because Cervelo is aero bike.

The three things aren’t mutually exclusive. In fact I’d say the Roubaix is probably a good mix of all three. It’s often bought as an all day sportive machine but it was designed originally to handle the cobbled classics and it’s still used on the world tour. You got yourself a very versatile machine there mate 👍👍

Unfortunately de Rosa isn’t de Rosa of old. I wouldn’t go back if I were you.

Speaking of time crunched...I haven’t had the chance to do any work on my bike weight loss project this week. I’d like to try and weigh a couple of parts and post some pictures later. Just to keep myself motivated as much as anything!

That's a shame. Don't know these days but use to DeRosa made their top models in Italy and others in Taiwan or somewhere else. It's a bity if the whole factory is start to slip with their products and quality. Better be careful when i select next bike and take enough time with a selection.

54:16 for stage 6.

Reasonably pleased with that despite the pain. Did 70 very hilly real world miles yesterday so probably not the best preparation. Managed to get on the bike with 2 mins to spare for the 9am ride. Decided to go out hard and quick to use my power and held a nice fast group until the climbs. Got up them reasonably well and joined a second group which had someone cajoling us to stay together. 2nd lot of climbs were annoying but at least the end was near. 2nd and 3rd climbs on the 2nd lap done alone but hopefully didnt lose too much time.

Stage 6. I went over the finish line it said 49.40. Results appears 50.12

Awaiting ZP to confirm time

ZP 50.02:okay:
Cracking time Andy - definitely a course that suits you.

I'm looking to ride the 4 o'clock today (@Brendan Parker is signed up for that too), but I still don't have a fan so I'm going to have to take it easier than I'd like. I'll be opening windows in the pain cave an hour before to try to cool the place down. Hopefully this will work ... if not, I'll be bailing again  My plan is to find Brendan and get him to drag me around the course...problem is Brendan is strong on the flats so he'll be well up the road from the off and I'll not be able to keep up

I have a fan on order at Argos but can't collect until tomorrow! This may be a stage I need to re-do on the make up week to have a full throttle go.

Impressive how some riders can hold on power output. Like Graziano Gabrieli who rode same event as Andy, his avg power was 539w. That result is in a companion app. It was over 140w more than second riders and any others. Must be generous trainer or out of calibration, just my first thoughts.
