So a brief and hopefully final update on my cardio investigation.

Just been copied on a letter from the cardiologist to my GP. Had to google most of the terms used, but it seems to say I'm ok.

He's not called me in to see him. He says the result is reassuring and he will continue medical treatment and regular check ups, as I've had since 2011.

No mention of my cycling, so I'm guessing I can return to normal.

Thanks all for your support while this has been going on!

Yeah I've just looked on Strava and can see that - you were 30ish seconds ahead of me, and neck and neck with Tommy, at the halfway stage, and then dropped back in the second half of the ride. That'll teach you to go on holiday :okay:

yeh that would make sense - i lost the group i was with and rode on my own for a while till i was caught by the next group - guess thats where i lost it
neat alcohol was dripping from me !😓

Doing Richmond Sunday I think and looking forward to it.
I'll try to set a competitive target for you to chase down :okay:

Looks like we're doing 2 laps of the UCI course. First 75% of lap is flat, so getting in a good group will help you fly. The last 25% includes the 3 little hills. None are that hard or long, but the importance will be what groups reform at the top of the 3rd hill ready for the second lap. Getting dropped, and ending up on your own could have a big impact! Looking forward to this stage ... could be very interesting ^_^

Did you beat me up the climbs tubby - I mean tommy ? 😉

Those aren't really climbs of substance. More power climb, where even fatties like me can hang in and muscle up them. My type of climb with mini flats to just come off peak HR.

I lost my pack and had to ride until another group caught me. The repeated hills did eventually kill my legs, I backed off just before the crest on one climb, solo'd to the end. Lost 1 min in the last 3-4 miles compared to a pack
