Saw one today, it wasnt the old style ones, but a new one. Had the lights ontop, police signs and the proper colour scheme.
Looked at the number plate, it was N999 YPD
Be better if it was N911 YPD to keep the styling though i think. Tried searching it on the net, but nothing.
Much better to see then the supercars i think, not seen one around here before.

It was probably Car 54 Joe 24...

Its Convoy i want to see, but its never on TV, only ever seen clips on youtube.

There used to be a 80's black-and-white 'police cruiser' in North Manchester a few years ago - the huge, ugly, slabby things you'd see in Dukes of Hazzard or Starsky&Hutch, etc.

I assume it was a real ex-policecar, privately imported. It was rather tatty and 'used' looking, with the full signwriting and blue lights (covered by a black binbag to be legal on the road)

The guy, a fat beerbellied character in full American policeman uniform, was filling it up at a filling station.

Well, whatever floats your boat.
Not for me, but riding a bike's a bit of a minority hobby too...

And about a month ago, I saw a Morris Minor van with Police Dogs written on it, on the Haslingden bypass going-up to Accrington.
Again the blue lights were covered, with a little fitted cover saying 'Not in Service'
...which seemed a bit superfluous, not even Lancashire Constabulary have had the budget cuts to need to de-mothball Moggie Minors...
