work stands? - cheap/ homemade?

Are there any cheap work-stands out there or has anybody tried making there own?

I do have one, but find that most of the time I hang the bike by hooking the saddle over the washing line and working on it like that. Only need it for serious wrenching jobs.

Decathlon do one for 30 quid. Has served me well for the past 6 months or so.

I use my turbo trainer as a bike stand... fine for most jobs, except changing the rear wheel

When I checked availability at Stockport the price went up to £34.95 and when I selected the London store price went to £29.95 - regional pricing
