Hi all,

I was hoping on rebuilding my rear wheel, but have now decided against it.

I have a set of 'Trigon XED' carbon wheels. They are 38mm deep (aero), with flat spokes. The front wheel runs true, with good condition conti gp4 tub. Rear carbon rim is cracking a needs to be replaced. All other parts are in excellent condition (no tub on rear).

Here is a picuture of the wheels on bike;

Closeups will be taken when listed on ebay/forums.

Any idea on what they are worth? They are extremely rare and unfortunately Trigon do not seem to reply to any emails. These are the wheels from their website, but with decals

So essentially you've got a front wheel for sale. Nobody is going to spend money on a wheelset with a wrecked rear rim and you've already admitted Trigon aren't being helpul and replacement rims aren't easy to come by. Might be worth putting just the front wheel on the bay and sell the rear hub seperately and not mention the fact the rear rim is cracked as people might start questioning the durability.

Also carbon wheels are getting cheaper. You can get a set of handbuilt Gigantex 50mm carbon tubs (same as the planet X carbon wheels) for £335 so considering yours are second hand and you only have a working front you'd be very lucky to get £100-£150 (probably less).

Also, are you sure they are 38mm. They look much deeper.
