Does anyone have any tips or suggestions as to the best way to place wiring past the suspension on suspension forks?

I have an idea but better if someone's done it successfully already.

I've had hub dynamos before, but never suspension forks!

if it was mine, i'd get something like this, perhaps with a shorter coiled bit

Why can't you just run the wire like you would a disc brake hose?

So long as it's long enough to accomidate the suspension at full travel.

exactly. the forks only ever compress

Thanks for the suggestions.

My main concern is as Steve Austin says, damaging the coatings on the business bits.

I usually use a type of cable sold for loudspeakers, and it goes permanently coiled wound round a big screwdriver and connected for about 1/2 second across a car battery.

I think I'll run the wire up to the front light (in the centre at the crown of the bottom part) then on up in the centre with a coiled bit, well away from the moving parts of the fork.
