Hi all,

I have got my top half covered.. need advice for my bottom half..

For the last 3/4 years have worn old tracksuit bottoms, but as I now have "a proper bike" and top half gear I now want to upgrade from the dodgy tracky bottoms.

I would like to know what you lot wear on your legs that keeps them dry and warm during the winter months :?:

Cheers

Shorts until it's colder than 5deg, then winter bibtights/ronhills.

useless answer I know but it depends... on the weather. Ron Hill bikesters to Ground Zero Ranch Sliders

Cycling tights, or Ronhill Bikesters - the bikesters are slightly less tight, and a bit more suitable if you need to walk to the office....

how wet does lycra get?

I find it barely gets damp

And the lower half of my legs are surprisingly waterproof!:biggrin: Hate that bit when the first few drops of rain make it into the top of your socks, and then the water slowly wicks its way towards the draughty bit on the sole plate.......

I tend to wear thermal bib longs or 3/4's in the winter something roubaix and water repellent and wind proof.

And overshoes keep the ankles warm feet drier.

For the ride to and from work just my work trousers and boots. For the club run Bikesters, with long johns underneath if its really cold, cycle shoes and overshoes.
