Need to buy a new winter long sleeve jersey to go with my new dhb Merston bibtights. Considering Gore, Campagnolo and maybe Altura or dhb. Anyone got any winter clothing by these manufacturers and how would they rate it please? Many thanks in advance

Last year I bought an Endura Air Defence like this and it is pretty good. I use it with a long sleeved base layer and it is fine between about 0 and 6 degrees. Above that I probably go for short sleeve base layer. I can live with it then up to about 10 deg but not much above

From 5 degrees upwards and if likely to warm up I wear a Lusso Breathe like this - mine is actually all yellow and more hi viz than shown in the pic. If you want the all hiviz one I got mine from a small LBS in Honiton, then got them to order in another and post it http://www.cycle1.co.uk/ - I could not find it anywhere else. That jersey with a long sleeve base layer is fine from about 5-12 degrees and I usually add a nylon gilet, which allows for flexibility if it warms up. It has a nice fleecy lining. For the gilet this Craft version is a superb product and is much brighter than the pic, with good reflective strips all round and a mesh back as it is designed for running

Now I have sussed what to wear in what temps I am getting more rides in and making the best of the winter
