Will a SRAM cassette fit onto a SHIMANO HUB...

The answer is yes, however thats as long as you don't have the deep spline freehub that Shimano and a Campag (shimano fit) started using a couple of years ago on their 10 speed only set ups, just look at the splines if they are about 2mm high then yes Sram fit, if they are about 4mm then only Shimano cassettes will fit.

Luckily Shimano realised the error of their way and went back to low splines after a little over a year.
