Wilier Gerolsteiner 2004 Rebellin, Authenthic?

A great start to the week to all of you!


I'm completely new to the world of cycling and vintage bikes or better said, I kind of got thrown into it after receiving an old road bike. Since then, I’ve been trying to learn more about what exactly I have on my hands.

From what I’ve found so far, it appears to be a Wilier Triestina in Gerolsteiner livery from around 2004, possibly connected to Davide Rebellin. The bike even has his name on the frame, which makes me wonder if it could be one of his actual team bikes.


What’s puzzling is the serial number it doesn’t match the typical format I’ve seen on replica models, so I’ve reached out to Wilier in hopes of getting more information.

Since I’m still very new to all of this and don’t have much background in cycling or bike collecting, I’d really appreciate any insights from those who know more about bikes from this era.


My goal is to eventually find the right new home for this bike ideally with someone who can truly appreciate it for what it might be.

Very nice bike and at 5ft 7inches tall it could well be Davide Rebellin’s bike,
however the small size frame may limit your market if you decide to sell.

Thanks for the reply right now I’m trying to verify that it indeed was his. But sadly I don’t have the papers or anything. Wilier sadly can’t confirm as their archive only dates back to 2010 :/
