Wiggle 'priority dispatch' - dont.

On Sunday afternoon I ordered a pack of electrolyte tabs from Wiggle - and paid nearly £4 extra in postage for thier 'priority dispatch' as I wanted them asap.

They arrived yesterday (Thursday). When I pointed out to Wiggle that a 2nd class stamp from the Outer Hebrides would have arrived quicker, they just said 'not our fault' blah blah blah, and that it only gives priority on the picking of the product.... which they were good enough to highlight happened on the Tuesday. If thats a priority, I'd hate to see thier standard approach to sorting thier goods out. Certainly wont pay extra to them again.

So if you want it quick, dont 'Wiggle' it.

Just go for the free delivery, 9 times out of 10 you will get the item the next day.

Lets assume that Wiggle do not work Sunday afternoons when you placed your order.

You paid for priority dispatch. They must have had a lot of orders with priority dispatch, if it took them from Monday morning, to Tuesday to pick your order for delivery.

Either that, or they did not honour what you paid extra for. Contact them and be polite when asking for credit to be added to your account for your next order. You may be surprised ;)

Stuff I have ordered from either Wiggle, or Evans (only 3 I use) has come pretty quickly with normal postage.

yep every time i have ordered from wiggle with the free postage i have received next working day without fail, this is the only reason i wouldn't use their priority dispatch

+1 to this.
I never use the priority delivery option and more often the not if I get an order in early morning it's delivered next day, day after latest.

Damn. Wish you had posted this yesterday.

Ordered some SPD's and cycle shoes yesterday at about 12:30, Paid the £3.99? for Express Delivery and it was dispatched at about 15:45.

I hope to get them today, but If I dont get them within the 1-2 working days (Monday at the latest), I will expect a refund of the delivery costs.

I did exactly the same with a long sleeved jersey yesterday; I want it for the weekend.

As long as I breathe, I attack.
I had stuff sitting at wiggle for 4 days unpicked even though it was in stock after i had paid for priority dispatch so i never ordered form them again.

Also, do you reckon Free Delivery is really "free" delivery. Of course not, it's incorporated into their price structure so if they get customers mugs paying £4 for something they do anyway it is just clever marketing and ironically it seems the complete opposite happens.

The only company where free delivery generally does mean 3-5 days is Amazon.

My computer arrived within 2 days despite saying out of stock, and the bike I ordered on a Friday night arrived on the next Thursday, nothing but good communication from Wiggle. As the bike was my first order they even rang up on the Monday to check identity etc.

I've always had good and quick service from Wiggle.

When I lived in the UK, I never paid for priority dispatch, and my orders always arrived within 2 days, usually next day.

Now I live in Spain, I still don't pay for priority dispatch, and my orders always arrive in 4 or 5 days. The only company that beats that is Amazon, which is usually 2/3 days, and has even managed next day once!

Well. No bike goodies today. Anyone know who this mysterious courier that "cannot be tracked" is? Do they deliver on a Saturday?

I'd hate to have to wait until Tuesday to go clipless......
