Hello CC,

I've just been outside and WOW is it bitterly cold....

This is going to be the first time I will of had my new bicycle, and a re-gained interest in cycling through the colder months and therefore my current cycling apparel consists mainly of shorts and a t-shirt.

I've been looking on the Wiggle website, and unfortunately their size guides aren't the most informative, I've selected the following two items although I would appreciate it if anyone with experience with Wiggle own brand clothing could advise me on what sort of size I should get.

I am approximately 182 CM tall, 84 CM chest and 72 CM waist.

http://wiggle.britishcycling.org.uk/dhb-vaeon-reflex-roubaix-padded-waist-tight/ - Medium (181, 100, 88)

http://wiggle.britishcycling.org.uk/dhb-long-sleeve-windslam-roubaix-jersey/ - XSmall (169, 84, 72)

Thanks in advance!

Or if anyone has any other recommendations instead of the ones I linked to, for a similar price or less than I would be grateful.

What are those sizes in inches? Might help those who are older! Divide by 2.5

71.65, 33.07 and 28.35 -- Height, Chest and Waist

Medium is equivalent to 71.26, 39.37 and 34.64
XSmall is equivalent to 66.54, 33.07 and 28.35

My impression with DHB sizes is that they're pretty close to normal clothing sizes except for being on the slender side.

Hmm, I think if they are similar to normal clothes then I shall try and get an even mix between both the sizing guide they provide and other cycling stuff I have purchased elsewhere (which is normally Small or XSmall).

I think I'll try for a small in both to even out the difference between height and waist sizes and see what happens. Fortunately Wiggle seem to have a reasonably good returns policy for clothing that is the wrong size.

At least wiggle gives you a size guide some of the time, other stores have no information at all. I can't buy clothes without a meaningful size guide and I'm not willing to experiment with online purchases.

Normally I would agree but my LBS doesn't really stock clothing (the odd coat but not much else), Amazon has the standard brands (Tenn, Muddyfox etc.) and so I thought I would try something new.

If they hadn't a returns policy then I wouldn't of even looked at their site.

I'm 32 waist, 5"7 and always get medium from all retailers.
They always fit, saying that if your waist is bigger than 32 i'd go for a large.

Thank you, judging by that then a small should be about right (might be a tad large in fact).

It's the height which is normally the problem for me however, I normally have to have clothing modified due to long arms and legs whilst being skinny-ish.

Gore jackets always to be a slim fit with really long arms! Plenty of online retailers with discounts on last years models

Thanks for the suggestion, however I did manage to pick up a coat from my LBS a month or so a go

Although.... I could always persuade myself to buy another....

Stuff has arrived, rather quick delivery considering it was free!

Thanks to all those who helped

A small seems good in both, next time I might try a medium in the tight just to give that little bit of leeway. If anyone else is wondering, the sizes are about the same as normal clothing, none of this being tighter nonsense that you find with some other brands.

And for some reason the box also contained a mini packet of Haribo Starmix?
Is this normal for Wiggle?
