With a 3rd place in the Paris-Nice earlier in the year and a victory against cancellara in a TT, Wiggins must be looking forward to this years Tour.

A victory is a little ambitious given the competition, but with strong performances like this and looking skinnier than ever, a podium place may well be on the cards.....there is hope!

That is good news! It would be churlish to say, "about time too"!

Let's hope GT can hang on tomorrow too.

It would be good for us if he can make a decent fist of the Tour this year after his win 2 years ago.

I have (dq-ed Dirty Bertie, AS and Armstrong)

I must admit I've been one of the 'doubters' regarding Wiggins form this year but can only say I'm delighted that he seems to be getting it together on the lead up to the TdF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Edvald Boasson Hagen got 3rd today and kept the blue sprints jersey.

Great race for Team Sky, let's hope they can kick on from this

Sky are beginning to shine this year and with the overall win by GT and the performance of the rest of the team they must be feeling good. Let's hope there is some more to come throughout the season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On the other hand, they were pants in the Giro. They have to sort out a strong set of climbing domestiques, they need an out-and-out sprinter (Ben Swift is a strong all-round rider who can sprint, but he's not a pure sprinter), and I am still not convinced of either Lovkvist or Wiggins's merits as a GC contender.
