Widest tyre for a 14mm internal width rim?

What's the widest you'd go? I must say at this stage I'm not sure the frame would take wider than 28, but for tarmac city riding I can't imagine needing more.

I would quite like to go from 25C to 28C on my Cannondale but I think that it would be a tight fit and leave no room for crud build-up!

Posts crossed, but I'm pretty sure the previous owner has had 28mm on it.

I've just put 25c on my all out race bike - recon I could get 28s on it. Mavic CXP33 rims, so narrow. 28 should be fine if they fit.

Should be okay but remember that 28c width will vary from one manufacturer to another.
