Hi,

Im currently using Concept handlebars that came on my Focus Culebro, there 42cm centre to centre (measured from widest part of bar).

Im after some a little wider, if possible?

Does anyone know of any bars that are wider than 42cm centre to centre? Or any manufacturers that measure there bars centre to centre, so i can go and purchase some 44 or 46cms.

Dont wanna spend too much, and im not picky at all.

Seen some Bontrager and ITM bars on Ebay but there all 44 outside to outside, meaning there the same, if not a little smaller than what i already have.

Thanks

I went the other way opted for narrower bars (a bike fit had also recommended it). The lbs recommended these powerplay bars, they also come in 44cm, centre to centre. I'm no expert but for the money they seem good to me. I'm not sure where you'll get 46cm ones though.

Coming from a bmx racing background im use to wide bars, and find road bars really uncomfy especially on longer rides.

I did use to have wide bars on my training bike, which all of us on the GB team used. As to what manufacturer made the bars i cannot remember.

In an ideal world im after 44cm inside to inside, or 46cm centre to centre.

Dan,

I notice that you're in Bristol - I've got a 46cm Kore anatomic road bar (OS clamp) which you can have gratis to try out if you like. I can't sell it because I over-tightened the stem on it and it left indentations on the bar clamp area, so not a long term thing but perfectly OK for you to give them a bash before they get binned.
Drop us a PM if you're interested.
