Why does my right foot feel weird? A week ago I bought off ebay some BNWT Lake MTB race shoes to go with my small spd pedals.

I set the kleats up so that the position was comfortable and went for a ride. I noticed the improvement straight away, however after a couple of days commuting (25 mile a day round trip), I started to get a weird feeling in my right foot. Now a week later it is still the same.

I've got a prickly feeling in my toes and when I wear any sort of shoe, it feels like the my sock has folded over, even though it hasn't.

Also it feels like my foot is swollen, again it is not. When walking it hurts slightly when I bend my foot and I get an achy feeling up my calf muscle.

Sitting down is fine and riding is fine, just walking/standing brings on the above symptoms.

Is it worth me going and seeing the doc?? Or have I not got my peds set up right??

Go see the Doc! It sounds a bit like tendon damage. I'm no expert of course, but I had a similar problem in my heel from wearing a pair of boots that were worn down on one side of the heel. It could well be that you have set the cleats to a position which is bringing the wrong part (or a new part) of your foot into contact with the pedal, and as a result you are putting power through a different part of your foot, irritating the tendon(s)

Rule out the easy ones first...Are they tight-fitting? See if the pain eases with other shoes, etc but best get it checked out by the doc.

I thought it may be tendon damage, but not sure.

No they are not tight, plenty of room at the toes, and enough room down the sides of the shoe, they are really comfy to ride with.

Gonna go and see the doc.

Try doing some stretching. If the pain is going up your calf some toe-up, heel down work may ease it. Alternatively, try massaging the sole of your foot with your thumbs and see if you can "find" the point where it's most tender.
