I’m sick of buying pedals, I keep wearing them out in exactly the same place and then they start clicking.I have four worn out sets, you can see where they are worn in the photos . Anyway I can build that part back up and ideas as to why it’s happening greatly appreciated. The photos are from two different sets of pedal.

It happens!
It’s where the MTB sole rubs. Some shoes, depending on grip composition, pattern/position, rub less.
Not sure why it’s clicking?

Thanks I can only presume it’s allowing play somehow in my foot lifting and coming back down, it’s got me puzzled but I know the noise goes away with a new set of pedals, I know to my cost£ , luckily they are cheap!

When my SPD pedals started clicking, it was due to worn/damaged bearings!

I bought new pedals but will replace the bearings in the old pedals one day and fit them to another bike or keep them as spares.
