Apparently need reinforced pins, with triple groove in.

Can't find them anywhere. Loads sold for the 5600 chains but none for this newer version that aint even the newest now.

You don't need pins. Get some kmc missing links

If you really want to use the Shimano chain (I have a 105 chain on Lelly and it's done a few thousand miles without issue), use Dura Ace pins. So long as you get the 10 speed ones they should be ok.

I see lots of review saying they are often impossible to remove by hand and some say they have snapped. Puts me off the links a bit. Hmm

Never had an issue with KMC chains or links and the only chain I've ever had snap was a Shimano DA one, go figure.

Horses for courses but never heard of issues with KMC links myself, yes they can be fiddly to undo, (but there's a TOOL for that if you must), and they're certainly not as fiddly as dicking around with a splitter and pins IMO.

No problem with spare links, and always managed to remove them without too much difficulty. Carry a spare with me on rides in case of chain problems - and have needed them on one occasion. Never had one snap.

Shimano chains are very good but only if you placed the connector pin absolutely perfect. 12 k and only very slight wear starting to show up (regular maintenance). By the way I heard that its the same company that does KMC and SHIM chains, not sure about SRAM.
