Why are we getting <br/><br/><br/> in quotes?

A lot of quotes now seem to have <br/><br/><br/> in them. Is this anything to do with turning off embedded quotes?

I started to see this today when using the mobile skin to reply and quote. Can't say if this is recent or a feature of the skin as I have only just discovered how to quote with the skin.

Have you changed your editor type by any chance?

The default editor is Realt-time - have you changed it in your settings?

I don't get the problem with quotes - but lots of other posters seem to. I can't believe that they have all changed their settings.

Using reply on the mobile skin on an iTouch does this ...

This may have absolutely nothing to do with the quoting but if you are not logged in the smilies just appear as a string of characters, like : wink : etc.. I'm just wondering whether it's permissions related (he said, guessing completely).
