England.

Johnson will have sorted out the few minor niggles namely, no decent fly half, no-one making dynamic and incisive decisions during play, too many soft penalties, back line too flat, Sackey standing bloody still all the time, poor scrummaging, no first choice kicker, poor defensive tackling, lack of discipline under pressure and weak leadership on the field, by the time the 6 Nations comes around.

Just you wait and see:wacko:

WAKE UP.......ITS BEEN A BAD DREAM!!!!!

Good one Maggot!
Don't mind who wins really - as long as there is a bit of attractive rugby on offer. Wales were probably the last side to show a true different approach to the game although the laws and procedures...'pick and go' etc make for a dreary spectacle at times. Add the long distance kicking game into the mix and Union really has arrived at rugby league followers definition of the 15 a side game: "Kick and clap"
Plenty of nice jerseys on show these days though - stretched taut over Habana-like gridiron protective shoulder affairs...;)

France could be tres good or tres bad. Je ne sais pas.

I think England will perform better than they have in the last few weeks but my money is on Wales

France are, err, 'rebuilding'. They're not quite clicking yet, look good in patches especially up front, with Harinordoquy in the loose and the hooker Szarzewski being my faves, but the back line just isn't what it could be, or certainly what it was. Not that it gets much of a chance as I think the fly half David Skrela tends to kick away too much possession.

They're a contrary bunch, the French, and have been known to click on the big occasion, so I wouldn't rule them out beating Wales in a decider game but, to me, Wales look more mobile and complete. I still think France have enough about them to finish 2nd though.

Ireland seem to have faded off the map for the moment and I think they'll also be looking to develop a new crop of players so I can't see them any higher than 3rd.

Scotland is a tricky one for me. They've not got the strength in depth that other nations have but play solidly to strengths. I can't see them being title contenders but will never-the-less be a tricky fixture for other teams. Out on a limb and say they'll rumble England and finish 4th.

England? Lord only knows what they're playing at at the moment. They have decent enough players but it's just not coming together at all. If it weren't for Italy, I'd say bottom of the table.

The Italians, I love them! Play with real spirit and fire. High tempo stuff but lacks control and discipline. Depending on the fixture list, I can see them picking up points but not enough to take them from bottom place.

Wales, if they maintain form. The thing about the six nations it could be any of three/four. On the basis of England's performance on Saturday ( I was there on the halfway line begging to be brought on) I can't see then doing it unless the error count reduces and they amend their play to take account of the vagaries of the referee. Talking of which, the one on Saturday was blind and sleeps with his mother.

Wales are by some distance the best side at the moment, however I think France will be the big surprise. England have a bad combination of arrogance and disorganisation.
