Hello all, i want a good rainproof winter jacket thats not going to make me boil in the bag and also pretty windproof. Does such a jacket exist? Upto about £150 to spend. Thanks in advance.
Yeah def go for a rapha one, I bought a jacket from there, just a windproof one but its great. In Scotland its pretty cold so I just put a thermal top under this and its warm, comfy and great. Only £75 as well.
The only jacket which I have personally found to remain waterproof in the very heaviest down pours is the Castelli pocket liner, bit pricier than your budget but its an outstanding jacket imho
you might get an assos 851 in sale, last-year's design or whatever for that budget. I've got one for around that and very happy with it. At perhaps half that amount, an altura night-vis windproof fleece, which is nearly as good, though some way less "nice" so to speak.
I have an Altura Night Vision jacket. It's bright orange and has many reflective bits for those dark nights and grey days! It has enough "breathability" for me,i wore it yesterday(37 miles of hills) when it was chucking it down but still relatively mild. It kept me dry and sweat free as usual.
