Hi All,

I am very keen to add tri bars to my road bike, but am unsure which set to go for.

I am riding a full carbon road bike, with ritchey pro drops. I was looking at something similar to the link below'

How much does weight come into play when adding on tri bars? and any opinions?

Thanks

Cheeky bike. Is it the one that weighs less than a wasp's tadger?

Aero bars - I don't think weight really comes into it (unless you're tackling silly hills, in which case they won't be much use anyway). Getting the right aero position matters more than the odd hundred grams either way.

Bike is stupidly light, although the carbon wheels have now been removed.

I guess ill just go for a basic set and then if i really prefer them ill change over from my drops.

I've got some (very) basic Olympus bars. I wish that I'd spent a bit more on then because they have an extremely limited range of adjustability. Make sure you get bars that can be fiddled into a position that suits you.
