What do you use? Is it any good?

People who do not aspire to pressures above 5 atmospheres need not respond, thank you!

Current candidates are Blackburn TP-1, Cannondale Airport Plus and Park PFP-3, all under £23, so there doesn't seem much point in spending more unless it's for the Mother Of All Track Pumps.

I have a Blackburn Air Tower Track Pump - they come in varying qualities (ie 1-5) I have a no. 4 I think about £32.00-£35.00. Best one I've had and it was worth paying a little extra.

I've got the Joe Blow pro, a bit more expensive but nice bit of kit - http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=1606
They're user serviceable (probably in commin with all Topeak pumps?) and parts are very cheap.

Dave.

I have had an unhappy history with the Topeak "head", particularly after changing the grommet, when it started leaking so much as to render the pump almost useless.

I'm pretty sure it's not operator error, either - there's only so many ways to apply a track pump to its task, after all...

So I am mystified by the almost universal love for the Joe Blow pump

On the way home I bought a Specialized Air Tool Comp. Alloy barrel, heavy base, one-size-fits-all head, reasonable guage... a bit expensive at £36, but it appears to be the nuts when it comes to pumping

But thank you all for your advice, anyway
