which rim tape

i've just had two tubes blow at the same time and inspection shows that they're both caused by the rim tape having a hole in it near one of the spokes. the wheels are shimano 105s, with the spoke holes slightly offset.

i used zefal cloth tape last time, might i be better with something different?

Insulating tape works in all the bikes I've owned and all the families bikes. I wouldn't waste cash on anything else.

The cheapo way is to apply a couple or three loops of gaffer tape.
Works fine.

But, my Spesh has Velox.

lbs had velox for £1.75. can't complain about that, and all sorted.
