Which replacement brake pads to use?...

Hi,
I need to replace my brake pads on my MTB for the winter commute -prob only a couple of weeks away.
The rides are all ath and road, no off-road or downhill racing.

I have found a supplier as the M486 brakes were discontinued, however, there's so much choice


Kevlar Compound

Red Ceramic Compound - Hard

Metallic Sintered

Professional Grade Black Ceramic Compound

Semi-Metallic Compound

Any pad experts there that can help?

I'm using these Semi Metallic/Organic ones at the mo - http://superstar.tibolts.co.uk/index.php?cPath=21
Easily as good as (if not better than) the orignal Shimano pads, and the 4pack ones work out very cheap indeed
