Just started running Windows 7 in just over five weeks now and although I had less running on Vista as I dumped vista quick....I quite like win7 and have cured most probs or most probs I had with it.

My love affair with XP ended when it took ten minutes to load.

What do you run and why?

Why? Because it was cheaper than buying a Sun 20 years ago, and I've got used to it since then. Also for the plethora of development tools, also because I admire the Free Software movement

I'm running OSX on my imac (the original style!). It is limited now though, as I can't run anything newer than 10.3.9, so many web browsers don't work and flash isn't supported anymore. Maybe I'll update the computer sometime....

The kids have windows 7 on their laptops and from my limited time using them it does seem a massive improvement on previous windows versions.

Windows 7 (I'm getting used to it ready for dumping Xp altogether - still making sure all my software / hardware needs are covered on it) and Ubuntu 10.10 in dual boot on one base.

Xp plus a specialist Linux-based audio and video derivative in dual boot on the other.

OS X 10.6 on my desktop and Windows 7 on my laptop.

I prefer OS X so much more to windows 7. I just find that everything is simpler and thus quicker to do.

Win 7 or OSX on the PC, XP or Ubuntu on the laptop depending if I'm upstairs or down. My eldest has Mandriva Linux on his laptop. Oh & Android 2.1 rooted etc on the phone.

I'm using 7 because that what the lap top came with, scarily I'm starting to like it; had XP before. The two big plusses for me are being able to view two windows side by side without one of them disappearing when you click on the other and the search in the start window. The preview thing is not bad either.

Windows XP on my PC at university. At home I have dual boot Windows XP and Ubuntu on my laptop, and a choice of Linux CrunchBang, Kubuntu or Zenwalk on the PC. I prefer Linux on my home computers because I get fed up with virus checkers and unsolicited downloads when using Windows.

Ubuntu 10.10, this laptop did come with Win 7, but I set up a dual boot with Ubuntu and find that I rarely bother with Win 7.
