Which of these two?

Hi all
Im on a limited budget and have linda settled ( but im open to advice) on either a carrera crossfire 2 from halfords or a kona dew 2011 from evans. Is one better than the other or is it whichever i like the look of!
Maybe there is another in that range 275 quidish i should be looking at instead?
This is the first bike ive had in the last 30 years!!
Any help and advice is appreciated.

You need to ride them, it's more important that the bike fits you well and you are comfortable on it, than the aesthetics of the bike.

I believe Halfords are not keen on test rides, (never bought a bike from them, but I suspect it's probably so you don't realise how inept most of their 'mechanics' are before you hand your cash over!), but Evans are not shy with test rides.

I have no experience of the bikes you are looking at, get along and try them out, good luck with your decision .

Its a nice ride but i think if im on it all day maybe i should get something with front suspension and maybe a better seatpost like the USE one.
Im still open to advice and looking.
