Not sure how high your bar bag comes, so worth checking out Busch & Muller, Fenix torches and a major light comparison done by some folks on YACF.

Audax UK have a big lights section too.

HTH
... and don't forget Ayups Roadie kit.

Are these to go on your Fratello ???

Cheers for the ideas, I will have a look.

Not sure if I will be riding my Fratello in the dark, only on sunny, non dusty, non windy days:biggrin: Hopefully it should be ready in the next week or so!!

Looking to purchase a light that will be able to be elevated over a bar bag, without the need of an extension bar.

I have come across the Hope Vision 2 http://www.brianrourke.co.uk/images/visledT2.jpg

and the PrincetonTec Switchback

Does anybody else have any other reccomendations?

TIA ;)

My barbag - a Carradice Super C - came with a T bar which clips to the bottom of the bag to carry lights. If you don't already have a bar bag i would recommend this - but check that it does have the T bar because apparently some of the Carradice bags don't.

I've attached a picture to this post, but as it's the first time I've attached a picture I'm not certain how it will work!

There are various attachments that enable lights to be mounted on forks, such as the cronometro nob.

There are various sources, but I chose this one because the page also illustrates various approaches to light mounting.

The ultimate answer to both bar bags and light mounting is the classical French approach, which puts a bar bag down low on a "randonneur" rack, which also has threaded bosses for attachments, such as headlights -- or, because the bag is down lower than run-of-the-mill HB bags, there is not such an issue of clearance on the bars. Still, it's much better to get the light off the bars, to a more uncluttered location.

This approach -- lower bag -- also improves handling a hundredfold.

Do you have a lo-rider boss on the forks that you're not using? A dynamo light, and no doubt some battery lights, will bolt on there very securely.

I had one fitted to a pair of forks Argos made for me recently, purely for attaching a light:
