After destroying a set of brake pads this week in all the snow and wet, Ive decided its time I try out these salmons. Ive been searching on wiggle etc but cant figure out which I need. The pad inserts seem far cheaper than the all in one block but I dont currently have a holdy bit to fit a pad into and cant seem to find one anywhere. Theyre v brakes on a hybrid bike.

If your brakes do not run a cart system, you need to buy the carrier and a set of pads, then from this point on you can just buy pads and switch them into your carriers.

To find carriers many places should have useable ones, but I would try discobrakes.com

Generally lower end brakes use the all in one system and higher end use the carts, so, look to the next model up from your brakes, does it use a cart system? If so, buy a cart compatible, usually this will run fine on the lower tier. Eg. On my old Tiagra brakes, I used to run 105 carriers.
