Which Halfords bike?

I've received an voucher for Halfords for £450. I'm happy to add 150 to it.

My thoughts are

How do you plan to use the bike you buy? Commuting? On road? Touring?

I looked seriously at a Bizango carbon frame about a year ago. Unfortunately, my employer ran the Cycle2Work scheme sporadically, and by the time the scheme was running, there were no bikes in stock.

Still like the look of the Bizango, so may keep it in mind for when I can persuade SWMBO that I need a fourth bike……

This is quite pertinent ^^^ as you may be better off with a hybrid of similar spec to the MTB's if commuting, as a solid front fork will weigh less, and won't soak up energy of your pedalling, however if it's getting to work via some very rough terrain then an MTB will be fine
