Which Giant road bike - FCR 1 or Defy 2 (2009)

Hello, im looking to buy my first road and would appreciate if somebody with better knowledge than me could offer advice on these bikes

Fcr 1 and defy 2 which is the better bike please for a 20 mile/day commute across london?

The Defy came out tops in this review.

If you are commuting think mudgards, maybe worth going for something that can fit full guards not the Race Blade quick fits.

thanks very much for taking the time to responce and for finding that review, it was that[review] coupled by my lbs stock, that was making me go for the defy 2. As far as i know giant have produced mudgaurds for the defy frame although the lbs tell me they are tricky to attach. (i'll leave that to the shop then!) (just noticed the review says no room for guards) im a bit hung up on the drop bars on the defy as i've only ridden flat bar bikes before, this was making me lean towards the fcr with flat bars "with the little bits on the side,) however the geo on the defy isnt all out headidown either. i guess i'll have to try them both and just see which i prefer on the day.. now roll on pay day
