Not posted here for a while, so hello to all
I ordered a Fuji Roubaix 2008 a few days ago, but the more expensive Fuji Roubaix RC 2008 was delivered. I was uncharacteristically honest and owned up. The company has offered to either do a straight swap or I let me keep the Roubaix RC for an extra £80 - even though they sell it for an extra £203 (after the 15% cyclechat discount).
Both bikes have the same frame. However the Roubaix RC has full a Ultegra drivetrain and brakes, whereas the Roubaix is a Tiagra/105/tektro combination. The RC also has 'better' (albeit stiffer) wheels and is overall 0.5kg lighter.
My one hesitation in keeping the Roubaix RC is that it has a full carbon fork (the Roubaix has a carbon fork with alloy steerer). I've heard, so called, horror stories of carbon steerer failure.
Am I being overcautious? What do you think?
