i use Finish Line cross country wet lube (green) in the winter and damp conditions (not that i usually go out riding in the wet/rain). Always found Finish Line stuff good and good value.

I had always used the Finish Line Teflon Dry Lube (red) in the summer- either the aerosol spray or the bottle. But the last couple of bottles i have had the lube has had milky appearance and is a bit gunky no matter how much i shake the bottle. Not sure i like it really so am looking at any other alternatives that are good and offer good value for money.

I use white lightning clean ride as a dry lube. I love the fact I can touch my drivetrain and not get dirty, it looks spotless too. If the bikes in the back of my van it doesn't filthy anything it touches.

I'm now using dry lube, if I'm on a very long wet ride I may need to relube. I only use wet stuff when the roads are covered in grit and salt.

It does wash off much more easily than a wet lube.

It goes chunky in the cold, as the wax solidifies. Stick it in your pocket for a few minutes, and if you can, apply it to a warm chain.

thanks for the replies- i still have some finish line so i will try the 'warming' technique. I have used muc off wet lube in the past- i may look at the muc-off dry lube or the Fenwicks

I tend to use finishline, warming it is the trick
Pedro's dry lube is also very good

Not sure I can assist as I never ride in the wet, but I have used spray on furniture polish for years and never had a problem. Result: clean, shiny chain. Best to wash the exterior grease from a new chain, dry it, then apply polish. Try it; it could work for you.
