I just picked up a Gen Innovations Ultraflate Plus for £9.98 from CO2Cartridges.co.uk

http://www.co2cartridges.co.uk/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=2460&category=314

It seems to get good reviews and accepts most size cartridges - both threaded and non threaded

Postage is a bit much (next day though), so I got 10 16g cartridges for £6.46 at the same time to spread the cost
I've seen those on ebay but always a bit dubious about buying the unknown hence the thread, cheers mate

Genuine Innovations have been around a fair while, and the pump itself is well made. http://www.genuineinnovations.com/
I'd never heard of CO2Cartridges.co.uk, but took punt and was very impressed by the service - FedEX next day and very good communication complete with tracking number etc.

Cheers for the link mate,do any re-fills fit or is it specifically a certain one?
any threaded cartridge - the usual size is 16g
I think you can buy the same item with one cylinder and a leather cover too. The cylinders get very cold when in use so you will cold burn your fingers if you don't cover the cylinder with something - sleeve of jersey would do the job though

I've heard many people say that cheap CO2 cartridges from the web are 'unrealiable' and 'dirty' on the inside - have no idea if this is actually true though!!!

I doubt those who state 'facts' like that have any tangible evidence to support opinion. The ones I rec'd are German (Kayser) made, have a TUV stamp on the box and for beer kegs .. so I assume that discounts the dirty statement.

They are probably all made in the same couple of factories, on the same production line, to the same standards regardless of whether they are sold for bikes, airguns or beer. I've never had a problem with any generic (AKA cheapo) cartridges that I've used
