Right I've got my eye on 2 bikes.

Focus Cayo 2011 running shimano 105 done a fair few miles. £450

Specialized sectur 2012 running shimano 105 with fulcrum wheels carbon seat post. £550 hardly been used.

I really fancied the focus but the guy is slow at responding to messages which makes me think something is not quite right. Although he has passed me his phone number so I dont know.

Any help appreciated. I know it's hard to help not knowing all the info.

I’ve ridden the Secteur, it was a great bike fit for me, a relatively relaxed frame geometry and IMHO Shimano’s best cost/performance gearing.
If it’s hardly used then it’s a good shout at £450

I had a 2012 Secteur (the 105 model) for about 7 years and they're good at ironing out road buzz. It's an 8 year-old bike though now and at £550 it's very over-priced. £300-450 depending upon which Fulcrum wheels it comes with.

Yep and it’s also more difficult to buy them, either used or new. If the OP is happy with it, an extra £50 isn’t unreasonable esp if he plans to ride a lot and/or keep it a while

Yes has the fulcrum racing 5 wheels. Also has upgraded to carbon seat post and also come with look Keo pedals. Also has 2 carbon bottle cages. The bike has only done approx 10 rides all being short journeys, and its since been hanging on a bike rack in the garage.

Well the guy messaged me this morning. Someone has offered him £500. I've said I cant go that high so back to the drawing board for me.

Is there a Facebook group for cycling sales nearby? We've got one in Yorkshire (Yorkshire Cycling Sales) where a 'wanted' advert often gets decent kit within that budget.
