Which Bike Bag

With the London 100 getting closer and given I'm now travelling by train I need someway to a) get my bike from Kings Cross to the hotel and b) keep it in the hotel room. I presume hotels are going to frown a little on an assembled bike standing in the room?!?

Has anyone got any recommendations for a good padded bike bag? The cheaper the better as I won't be using one too often. Just for occassions like this.

The cheapest one seems to be the Avenir £40 on ebay spend more and you get wheels etc.
Should've added I don't know if its any good but it's the cheapest I can find.

Where's your hotel? I'd suggest the easiest way is to cycle the bike from Kings X to the hotel. And then it depends on the hotel, some have secure cycle parking, some don't actually mind you taking the bike into the room. I'd ring them and ask.

I'm staying at the Ibis Styles London Excel (formerly Custom House Hotel) so near Victoria Dock.

About 10 miles to cycle then if you stay off the main roads. IBIS tend not to be too bad but as I say just give them a call about what arrangements they have.

Nice one. When I stayed at the Novotel at Knebworth a couple of years back I'd emailed beforehand, they said they didn't have bike parking outside, but they would find 'somewhere secure'. It got its own conference room

Result - hotel are happy for me to keep my bike in the room - no bag required! ^_^

This is by far the best option, but in the future of you need a bike bag the Ultra Bike bag is a FAB bit of kit. Google it.
