Depends what for. I use Continental Cityride for commuting, which are 700 x 28 (I think!).

Mine still has the stock 700 x 32 all condition with flak jacket i have riden about 1000 miles. Have had about 5 punctures until I changed to slime innertubes, not had any flats since but have had two fairly large penetrations! Can see the slime through the tyre, I want to replace with some thinner tyres hopefully with good puncture protection!!!

I changed from Marathon Plus 37s to Conti GP4 Season 28s this spring, wish I'd done it alot earlier as the Conti's are far superior.

Bontrager Hard Case Race-Lites are pretty good IME. Cheap(ish) if you shop around, seem pretty quick (to me) and puncture proof.
They come in 23, 25, 28mm I have some 28s on the tandem at the moment.

FTFY. Nothing is puncture proof.

I've got some 28mm Conti Sport Contacts which roll well and are pretty good puncture protection wise. Not really for surfaces other than roads though if you ride canal tracks or similar.
