Apparantly Dimension datas Eritrean rider Mekseb Debesay became lost during E3 Harelebeke, so he asked one cyclist for directions, the chap took Mekseb home, let him use the shower, loaned him some clothes, fed him & let the team know where he was, quite a touching little story.

A real example of the spirit of the sport. takes him home, shower, food, clean kit, rides to the team hotel with him to make sure he gets there, after calling them to assure people he was OK. Top man - one of the 99.9% of people who are overall good, decent, and kind.

But im surprised he didnt have a race radio to contact the director sportif of the team to get help

Maybe they have limited range?

And I doubt he'd have a phone, and some spare inner tubes, tools, money, and two pork pies for emergencies like us sensible people.
