Where would I get bulk supplies of cycle oil

I have just aquired an old pump action oil can which would be ideal for lubricating the chain but the small bottles of oil that can be bought at LBS's would hardly half fill it. So I thought that a bulk container would be what I am looking for. So what I am asking is can bulk containers, i.e. one gallon cans, of cycle oil be obtained and if so where from.

A gallon?! That is probably five times as much as I have used in 40 years of cycling, most of it with three or four bikes.

A pump action oil can is going to dump far too much oil on the chain. You really do need very little.

Bulk oil for a bike..........fubar me.......you can't get..you don't need it.... Get a small finish line or white lightening bottle..about £8 and it lasts.......over a year......

I thought a 20l container of syn oil for my 2 cars was enough.......about 2 yrs for 2 x cars.....

i've used car engine oil for 40 years from a pump oil can. put it on leave it for an hour and wipe off the excess with a clean rag.never had any problems and it costs a fraction of anything with "cycle or bike" in the name

What I think you have is a "Dib - Dib" oil can.
Circular, with long snout, handle and thumb lever to pump the oil up the snout.

They were useful in the old days when B/Bs had oil ports, and hubs had oil ports.
My Sturmey has an oil port, so one of my Dib-dib cans has a 90 deg elbow probe.
