with working a three day week.i now have a long w/end off till next wed:biggrin:..thinking of opening the map take a pin close eyes and see where it puts me.. bike going in my van any one have poss suggestions

Jump on Easyjet to Budapest and have a great weekend. Stay at Gelert Hotel, one of the most amazing hotels I've ever stayed at.

Why don't you head north to Scotland? Some great quiet roads up there. And it's the right end of the country for you isn't it? You'd also avoid the snow some places down south seem to have had.
 
North Northumberland around Wooler, Berwick and the borders. Beautiful. Or you could hop over the Penines to the area around Sedbergh.
