There are brief descriptions of each course in the CTT handbook. Some are vaguer than others. Testers tend to get to know their local courses and others that have a reputatin for fast times. Looking at previous results can give an idea of how easy/fast a course is. Otherwise, it's down to contacting the organiser and asking.

I normally do like Montage.

Also:

Join Timetrailling forum and search / ask there.

I put up a few of the local ones to me on Bikely under the course code, I don't know whether anyone else does this but it could be worth a search.

It depends.

The ones for open events are usually on the CTT site and the time trial forum. However, courses just used by clubs can be a bit harder to track down. Sometimes they get re-numbered, but people keep on using the old numbers.

Google is a good idea.

Sometimes they are on bikely

If you can't track it down, then a post on the time trial forum, or an email to a local club, would be the best ways to find someone who does know it.
