where can you get your bike security stamped

I have just pick up my new Carrera Fury mountain bike this evening and was wondering where do I get my bike security stamped. I know last weekend we did have a roadshow for that but unfortunately my bike was not ready until today. Is it just the police that does it or are there other place that do this service. Sorry if this question has been answered before.

I think you can just take it into Bethel Street police station and ask nicely. Or phone them on 0845 4564567.

Our local council gave away a kit to do this. Not stamped but a UV pen to write your postcode on and stickers to say that it's marked. I've done bike, phone, laptop, camera,....

They were giving away those micro chip things at the Bristol Bike Breakfast - mines on a shelf waiting for the weekend to fit. So it might be worth turning up to some organised events to see if they were handing out any kits.
