Someone stole my bicycle recently so I need another one. As I'm almost 6ft 6in I need a big frame. What would be the best way to get one please?

I am not into racing, I just like cycling sedately through the countryside, usually along tarmac roads. I do not like having to put a lot of weight on my hands and arms.

A 25inch frame seems to be what I need. How can I best find one please? I have been going around bike shops and looking on the internet without success. I would prefer to get one as cheap as possible, including second hand.

Thanks.

Depending on your preference for style (and, of course, the cost) you might consider a classic Pashley. They do several of their bikes in a larger frame size with a double top-tube, such as the Roadster. Unfortunately, not terribly cheap although good value.

I'm 6'5" and recently got a 23" MTB and it was originally far too big for me (because nowhere stocks them that size so hard to try before you buy). I've bought an adjustable stem to bring the bars in nearer and it made a big difference. I think a 25" bike would be a bad idea. Apparently bikes now get longer wheel bases as well as just taller as they did when I were a kid and last rode. I think I would have been better off with a 21" bike to be honest.

Anyway, I got mine from Evans and found them to be very helpful.
