Unfortunate connotations for me - reminds me of Mrs B's step-mother who played this song all the time. We'd rather not be reminded!

So if I had any tickets, you could have mine too!

Yes, I feel the same way about "I believe in Father Christmas" by Greg Lake, such a lovely song but spoilt by memories of what happened once, immediately before I heard it playing.:biggrin:

Tonight I am going to see Dennis Locorriere, the "voice" of Dr Hook.:becool:

All the tickets are sold out, or I would ask if someone would like to join me.....anyone.......there must be someone?

I'm a big fan of Locorriere; his later work is very underrated.

I do still enjoy his early big hits like that one, and I sometimes like to imagine you were the muse for a song like that, speicher.

Of course, when you're in love with a beautiful woman, it's hard.

What was he referring to?:angel:

I am sure I don't know either :blush::biggrin:

It was a brilliant. excellent concert,:bravo::bravo::wahhey::wahhey::wahhey: a varied playlist, I could understand every word he sang (or said). Some funny anecdotes, but no endless waffling. No backing musicians, so his voice was in balance with the loudness of the guitar. There was a few of his songs from "Dr Hook" in the second half, More Like the Movies, Love you a Little Bit More as well as Sylvia's mother. Mostly the music was his more recent solo efforts.

I even managed to see him after the show, with half a dozen others.:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

He must have known I would be in the audience, black trousers, black boots, bright blue shirt, he is very good-looking even at 59 years old.
He now lives in West Sussex somewhere.*

I think he intends doing more concerts next year. Guess who will be going again.

* West Sussex, what's it like there, if I move to live next door to Dennis?

:blush::wahhey::bravo: Some one asked me yesterday, if I was still a "smouldering brunette".:biggrin:

Perhaps I should invite that person and Abitrary around. :wahhey::blush::blush::blush::biggrin:

I could have been tempted but I spent all the last two nights trying to fix my faulty internet connection. Turns out it was being paid for on a credit card I had recently cancelled and so it shut off due to lack of payment. Now posting at work waiting for the connection to come back on at home.

Glad you had a good time.

One of the songs he sang last night was called "The things I did not say".
He said it was on their second album. But, as their albums have been re-released, I cannot work out which was the second one, or find the one which has that track listed.

Arbitrary, or anyone else, can you help on this please?

Found it - someone put it on youtube, with a pic of the album cover which it is from - located now as an import.;)
